Lent Week 1: Week of February 23

This week, we are honored to share a letter from our Founder, Vincent Pescatore, written in May 1995. While it was not composed during Lent, his words speak deeply about what it means to be a person of faith and hope, something we need now more than ever as we begin this season.

The letter was written from Guatemala before Farm of the Child in Honduras officially opened, and only half a year before Vincent’s untimely passing. His courage, trust in God’s providence, and vision for the children and families of Farm of the Child continue to inspire us today. If you are not familiar with this story, we encourage you to read it here.

Next week, we will share a letter from our President, and Vincent's wife, Zulena Pescatore, who continues to lead this mission with incredible faith, strong leadership, and as a true witness to what it means to live with hope and trust in God’s providence.
