After graduating from Notre Dame, I decided to postpone a career in Finance and spend a couple of years volunteering as a way to give back for the many blessings that I have received. I realized that I have been very fortunate in having a loving family, strong education, and many desirable gifts and talents. Following this decision to volunteer, I accepted the position at the Farm of the Child based on its ability to successfully intertwine Catholicism, social work, and education. Through its dedication in raising children in less fortunate circumstances into dynamic and successful adults, I knew that the Farm of the Child would be a great organization for me to work through in order to sharing my gifts and talents with others.

I hope to experience what it means to selflessly love, what it means to live for and with others in the pursuit of something greater than myself. I hope that I come to know God through my community members, through the children, and through all I will meet in my time here. I pray, more than anything, that I am fully able to give of myself in whatever way I am called. So often I limit myself from being exactly who I was created to be out of fear, out of my own personal desires, out of the want to be “other” than I am. I hope that I can be taught how to live and to be exactly who I am.
